SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed with regard to the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area daily. The service position established for intervention experiences a higher influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for your office to attend to sassa all people who pay here a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to help the servicing of all prospects and maximize sassa status usage of Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
